Speaker Dr. Len Marrella
Len Marrella, Ph.D. and U.S. Army
Colonel (Ret.), is founder and President of the Center for Leadership
and Ethics, author of the award-winning, In Search of Ethics,
Conversations with Men and Women of Character, Founder and President
Emeritus of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Legatus and a former radio
show host. He has taught college courses in Moral Leadership and Organizational
Ethics at the graduate level.
As a motivational Leadership and
Ethics speaker, Len's message has been a beacon for organizations
and conferences from government agencies, including the Department
of Veterans Affairs, military academies,and universities to Fortune
500 decision-makers such as The Oppenheimer Fund, Inc..
Len received a B.S. In Military Engineering
from the U.S. Military Academy, an MBA in Finance from the University
of Oklahoma, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from George
Washington University. In the military he served in Vietnam, at NATO
and the Pentagon.
After 22 years of active service
he retired at the rank of Colonel and began a new career in private
industry with International Paper Company as their Director of Capital
Projects. Len was responsible for the successful implementation of
a six billion dollar capital investment program. As a result, he was
selected to be the company's chief finanacial spokesperson to Wall
Street and the world's other financial centers. In this role he spearheaded
the development of a successful international investor relations program.
Because of Len's passion to
illuminate the morality and potential in everyone he encounters, he
has long been dubbed "The Colonel of
Truth" by those who know
him--a title he has modestly come to accept. Len founded The Center
for Leadership and Ethics, Ltd., in 1994 which offers seminars and
keynote speeches to develop ethics, character and leadership in both
business and academia. The group is the coordinator of the Pennsylvania
State Schools of Character Awards Program that pays tribute to those
schools that demonstrate outstanding character development implementation.
Len and his wife, Dee, reside
in Pennsylvania and have been blessed with three daughters and seven
active grandchildren,
